1. Bulbs - we all need them, but where do you recommend getting them?
I am very price conscious and would be interested in a good deal on my annual bulb purchase.I checked out xenonbulbs.com listed in the directory here and wondered if anyone has used them and can tell me whether they had a good experience. I refuse to use my previous company which should be skewered alive for total incompetence.
Are you buying from a cinema equipment company from which you usually buy booth supplies? Any recommendations?

I would appreciate any responses.
(For the record - I need an Osram XBO1600 W/CA OFR). http://www.bigscreenbiz.com/ubb/Forum43/HTML/000062.html

2. Looking for used stereo sound system for a old single screen theatre, the old 35W Mono system from 100 years ago just don't seem to cut it thease days!

Anyone know of inexpensive used equipment around?

Also looking for 200-400 used seats, newer styles... Was going to try that "Dreamland" place that has ad's in Box Office, but figured I'd ask here 1st!

3. I'm looking at re-doing two booths from a-z. What do you think the booth budget should be if I go used vs. new?

4. I realize the best way to learn about booth operations and film handling is "hands on" experience. I'd also like to find a good, basic beginner's guide. I've downloaded some documents from Film Tech, but I'm wondering if someone would direct me to a "Projection & Film Handling For Dummies" resource.

6. Say I want to have SDDS, DTS and DOLBY EX in my largest (500 seat) auditorium. What reader, decoder and processors will I need? Can I have SDDS as an option, that I run when I can, and run regular DTS the other time.
I want to know this because SDDS is 8 channel, and I want to know that if you go with 8 channel, are the other systems compatible.

7. Could anyone tell me if I should consider one of these JBL stage speakers over the other for obvious reasons other than one being thx certified? My house is 107 seats, not thx certified and I am considering changing from center surround to 4 channel.
the choices are jbl# 3678 or jbl#3677 I am interested in what I would really gain for the money difference.
Other information is that I am using QSC 1400 series amps and Smart 2b processor with a digital matrix card and red readers. Then after all this could someone recommend a good sub at a resonable price? http://www.bigscreenbiz.com/ubb/Forum42/HTML/000080.html
