I'm thinking of opening a second run theater down the street from a first-run theater, but I would need investors to start my business. My question is what would it cost to open a second-run theater and is there anyone in the industry that invests in movie theaters?

It doesn't matter if it's second run or first run the cost of the build is the same.

I'm looking at using an existing building, but not an existing theater. Would love to find one here in Rochester, but I don't think that will happen.

Im in the Second Run business and we converted an existing building in 1990 that wasn't a theater to start with. PM me i could see where i could possibly help. The costs would be different but ill help where i can.
