We are looking at installing new seats. Price and durability are our main concerns. The seats we currently have break constantly. The seat portions slide off the hinges regularly (whenever a larger patron pushes on the arms too hard when getting up) and the backs snap when customers (rowdy kids) push back on them really hard. We are currently equipped with a seating concepts seat but I'm not sure of the model number. The backs are flat wood that is screwed onto the seat. We'd like to get a tougher plastic backed seat, and a seat where the seat is securely attached to the arms.

So I thought, if you have purchased new seats lately, could you give a review of the seat? Real life user-reviews would be so much more helpful than studying the spec sheets of a million different seats.

Anybody have any seat reviews?

Mine are twenty five year old Irwin rockers that are in okay shape still but will need replacing one day before long

Good seat reviews has been hard to come by.

I recently looked at some of the dolphin seats at an Epic Theater in Florida that had been open for 2 years and the seats looked very good and to me seemed to be holding up pretty well. The only complaint from the manager of the theater was about some cosmetic cap on the back of the chair that was falling out but nothing about the mechanical side of things.

star and pearl 43" rockers are $120 plus freight
new vip seating is $200 plus freight

If I have the need to get new seats (which I hope I will), I will look at these.

We used Mobilario and could not be happier. Price/ quality/ attention to every detail/ delivery on time/ etc. I could not say one negative thing.

suggestion when buying seats, think of them as 10 or 15 year investment
and when amortized over that period of time, cost is not consideration
buy cheap replace sooner
