My name is Michael Perlman, and I am on the board of directors of Queens Preservation Council. I am seeking a historically-sensitive (possible arts-related) TENANT or OWNER for the endangered historic Ridgewood Theatre by Thomas Lamb at 55-27 Myrtle Ave, Ridgewood, NY (Queens bordering Brooklyn). It dates back to 1916, and recently shuttered after nearly 92 years in continuous operation as a first-run theater. It holds a record. It was also designed to mimic the long-demolished Mark Strand Theatre in Times Square, the world's first movie palace. The theater is situated in an up & coming neighborhood.
