Hi,

I have been researching building a new theatre in my area for quite some time. There is deffinetly a market for on in my city. Problem is that I dont have the millions to build it. Now it was mentioned elsewhere in the forums that sometimes the concession companies will pay to build the theatre for a portion of the concession income. I am really interested on more information on this. Has anyone done this? or have more information on it?

John

Loews Cineplex did that with many of their theaters here in western Washington state. I believe Pepsi fronted them the money.

So they payed for the building or did they loan the money for the building. Also how long did they want part of the earnings... anymore information on this would be great.

Doesn't Pacific Concessions take complete control of the concessions, including income? If that is correct, how does the theatre owner pay the monthly bills?

Pacific Concession takes a hefty percent of concessions, from 40 to 60%,but they pay for all concession equipment and merchandise. It is an expensive way to go.
