I am looking to open a new theater in a smaller market. The retail trade population in my area is around 500,000. Currently, there are only 2 major multiplexes in town. The lines are outrageous. I want to build a small theater that serves dinner while the show is on. I have checked several sources, and also into several different types of equipment and design. Does anyone out there have any recommendations? I would appreciate any help or advise anyone has to offer!!

The best thing to do is to read, read, read! Start in the archives and study all the threads. You will gain great knowledge!

Like you, I started out before I opened my theater on this site. It's all there, just look. Good luck.

Read everything here, and then whe you are sure you want to do it, learn the technical side of the theatre by going over to www.film-tech.com and the equipment dealer sites.
