Any one know of the details from White Castle regarding selling there burgers? There is an ad on the back cover of a recent BoxOffice magazine. I have called a couple of times and received no call back yet.

How much? How much to order? How to cook? any other relevant information?

I don't know anything about them, but I wonder why you'd want to sell their stuff rather than getting your product locally?

Is the name enough of a draw that it would make it worthwhile?

Yes! We are 2 hours away from St. Louis. Home of WC. And people who like them are just like Harold & Kumar. I think they would do well.

They have been at Showest and Showeast reciently. they suggest a little table top steam warmer. You can also Microwave. The ones they did in the steam warmer on the trade show floor tasted just like the real ones off the grill.

I know they come frozen. Probaly from your food distributor.

If they cost 50 cents wholesale, then what would you charge for them in your concession stand? If you go too high, then all the White Castle fans who are used to getting bagfulls of these things for cheap may not care to partake at your theater. But, I guess it's the same as all the other concessions. Captive audience equals higher price tolerance. Just not sure if it would work with this item. It seems to me that White Castle is really aimed at budget minded people.

If you've never had one, I'd say that White Castle restaurants and burgers remind me a lot of Krystal burgers for those of you in the southeast.

We used to sell burgers just like the White Castles and Krystals at our drive-in - with the exception we made them fresh as opposed to frozen. We used an 18:1 burger patty cooked on a bed of shredded onions, and steamed the buns. Sold great. Redneck food here in the south. Took them off the menu last year, not because they weren't selling - they were just too labor intensive. Our cost per sandwich started increasing to the point where we were going to have to charge $1.00 per burger. I like White Castles and Krystals as much as any other southerner... but not for $1.00 each.
