Has anyone used the "Pop Clean" series of poppers from Gold Medal?

We have an unusual situation with a vintage theatre in which the projection path is immediately over the concession stand. This means that steam actually interferes with the projected image. It's an interesting effect on the screen, but clearly "sub-optimal". The theatre has run for decades like this, but the operators have moved out and we are starting it back up.

I hate to run ductwork through the lobby, as there is no way to hide it.

The "Pop Clean"s basically filter the smoke and steam, which would hopefully help. This would also alleviate much of the "heat wave" effect.

Ultimately, this problem will have to be resolved via construction, but I'm thinking this may be a mid-term solution.

I don't have one but I have been in a friend's theatre that does and it worked great. He was very pleased with it and from what I saw it got all the steam and smoke.

The only drawback for me is that the smallest kettle is 32oz, which is way more than I would need. Though they also have a "Flexi Pop" option that would let me run it as an 18 oz kettle. Plus, not sure an $8k popper is the best use of my startup capital.

If you need a new popper, that is one thing, but if your popper has life left I would look at a high quality charcoal filtered hood that you could mount above the existing popper. Would be much lower investment and should not be that gawdy.

Actually, this IS for a completely new concession stand. That's the only reason we even considered the Pop Clean.
