Does anyone have an answer to keeping soft drink sludge from building up in the drain under the soft drink dispenser? I have been cleaning it with a drain snake, and that works but it's a mess. Thanks

We flush the drain with hot water at the end of each night. Once or twice a week, I'll add a little bleach. That does the job.

You should also be pulling your nozzles and inserts, if not daily, at least a couple times a week. We rinse ours out, then soak them in water and a little bleach. That keeps the black scourge out of there pretty well.

We use a pitcher of hot water then some vinigar. Not sure who told us to use the vinigar but it seams to help.

We just use our normal hot water, though sometimes we'll draw some out of the coffee maker. I think the whole point is a matter of keeping the drain lines clean and flushed out. If you don't clean them out often, that gunk will build up pretty fast.

I've never tried vinegar, but it makes sense that it would work. Someone (maybe the Coke service guy) mentioned using a little bleach in the water. That's worked well for us.

Yes hot tap water down every drain.

We have had one other thing help us. We moved our ice maker to the other end of the concession, at the top of the drain line. It has a water cooled compressor so warm water runs down the same drain pipe under the floor that the soda machines drain into, when ever the compressor runs.

As others have said, pour warm water down drains several times daily not just at nights end. In addition, the ice bin should be emptied once a week and warm water(mixed with some bacterial digestant) should be poured down that drain.
