Are Bon Bons still available in your area? I was told this week by my ice cream order clerk that Bon Bons are no longer being made and they sell these other bite size ice creams in their place. I want my Bon Bons back.

Is that something recent? We could get them as late as October of last year. I think it's Carnation that makes (made) them.

If you are intent on selling Bon-Bons (French for 'Good-Good!') you might arrange with this retailer to order them wholesale: (coconut type): http://tinyurl.com/8flem
(fruit flavors warpped): http://tinyurl.com/asw9y

If this URL doesn't work, go to www.vermontcountrystore.com and type in their search box BONBONS (they spell it as one word), and you will be taken to the above page where two different assortments are linked to (a coconut one and a fruit flavors one); click on either link's photo. It is nice to offer something different even if it is not a best seller.

We can't get bon bons anymore, either. We now sell Movie Bites (their the same thing, really, their just square instead of round). Sales did not change on them at all.

We still buy and sell Bon Bons. Have you checked with your Sysco rep? Item number for Sysco Food Services of SF is 2940229. They may be a special order item. We have to special order a couple of flavors of HagenDaz bars because they aren't standard stock. Having an extra chest-type freezer comes in handy.

Whoops! Seems I mis-spoke. Sean, my manager in charge of ordering tells me that yes, Bon Bon's are discontinued. Apparently we found out it was coming and ordered a freezer full, which is why we still have Bon Bon's. But the end is near.

Does any body sell dippin' dots? I recieved information from them that seems like a good deal for theatres. I have customers that say they are the best. I am thinking about adding them.

I swear we had a whole discussion about dippin dots on here a couple of years ago. You might try searching in concessions and in The Lobby. It may have also been over on Film-Tech in the Ground Level section. I seem to recall some unfavorable opinions about them, but maybe that has changed seeings how Bon Bons have gone Bye Bye.

Here is the response I received from my inquiry to Nestle:

"Thank you for your email letting us know of your disappointment in being
unable to find Nestlé(r) Bon Bons(r) at your local market. We realize how
frustrating it can be to search for, but fail to find your favorite dessert
treats.

Unfortunately, our Nestlé(r) Bon Bons(r) have been discontinued, but because
consumers love bite size ice cream products, we are introducing a new bite
size ice cream line under our Dreyer's/Edy's Ice Cream brand. This product
is called Dreyer's/Edy's Dibs(r) and is available in five flavors. These
include: vanilla ice cream with chocolate coating, chocolate ice cream with
chocolate coating, mint ice cream with chocolate coating, vanilla ice cream
with Nestlé(r) Drumstick(r) coating and vanilla ice cream with Nestlé(r)
Crunch(r) coating. These products will be available in your local grocery
stores starting in May 2005."

I wrote back how disappointed I was for all the good that will do.
