We have all the regular stuff including Nachos. We added hot dogs but find the watste and loss to be too much and have discontinued it. We want to add stuff that will sell. We added beef jerky and have been amazed at how that has sold. What else would be next? We don't have pretzels. Is that a good direction? Can you work from a freezer?

Have you seen the small self-contained fryers from Autofry? No expensive hood system required and can cook in small batches straight from the freezer... Not sure you want the mess in an indoor, however is anything messier than the corn, candy and pop they already spill?

the autofry that I have seen are in the 2000.00 +/- range. I'm wondering if there's anything/ products for less.

Pretzels sell well. J&J Foods (SuperPretzel) sell the plain pretzel 50 to a case. Be sure to separate the pretzels by placing waxpaper between them, or use sandwich baggies. We keep the case in our storage freezer, and stock a few in our concession mini-freezer/frig for on the spot sales. We have a Pretzel Oven (SuperPretzel), but only use it on the weekends. Otherwise we bake them in our pizza oven for 12 minutes at 375 degrees. We also carry SuperPretzel gourmet pretzels (24 to a box). The gourmet pretzels are bigger, and taste great!!! We carry the Pizza pretzel, and Jalapeno pretzel. Cost is around 1.05 per gourmet pretzel.

I also have the big gourmet pretzels and find that many of my popcorn people like to switch to pretzels now and then, it works real well for me.

We ordered the JJ Super's at cost of .45 each and will try micro'ing them. Also added some cookies at the time.. 2 big gourmet (whatever the hell that means!) @.35. Planning to sell pretzes at 1.50 and cookes at 1.25. Thanks! Mike

Pretzels and cookies sell well. I would say to go with those items.

I bought an autofry back in 1999, so things may have changed since then. But, we received enough free product to pay for the autofry over time. I can't remember the exact deal, but you may want to contact a dealer to see what's available. We sell alot of jumbo corn dogs, fries, cheese sticks and cheese fries.

Has anyone tried low carb bars? You can get them from Sam's for cheap.. does anyone cater to Atkin's people?

GOURMET - A person who likes fine foods.

Gourmet Pretzels would be those pretzels that people who enjoy fine foods would love to eat. Something like that.

A couple cases of Cliff Bars appeared on my door step (looked like a promotional package mailed to my theater from those folks. For some odd reason there was not literiture in the packaging). Since they gave them to me for free, I hate to say they are not selling very well--I even discounted them down to a dollar. I'm not going to buy more once they are gone. As a person who can't do sugar, suagr-free stuff blows my hair back and would like to see more stuff like that for theater sales.
