French fries and nachos.

Brings back memories of the Grandview Drive-In where I worked. One of the "perks" was all the free non-inventoried food I could consume, including french fries, popcorn, and soft drinks. With my physical next week, my arteries may still be showing the after-effects 33 years later.

(Not to mention those cold nights when we turned off the carbon arc ventilation to stay warm, breathing all those "rare earth elements" in the carbons that were used to enhance the light).

Besides the fries, nachos, & popcorn we sell a lot of Bon Bons and Ice Cream Cups. We don't mind selling them because we don't have to clean the floor afterwards.

Saw this thread and thought I might add my 2 cents worth.

This past season... we sold the heck out of "Alien Glow Pops".

Candy sucker mounted on a clear plastic tube. Inside the tube was a "glow braclet" thingy. I think we paid about $1.12 each for them and sold them for $2.75

This year we're doing a "Flash-Pop". I just saw them last week at the drive-in owner's convention in Orlando. Same concept as the Alien thing but better. Battery operated LED flashlight in the base. Transparent colored candy sucker that "glows" when you push and hold the button on the side of the base. I beleive the cost was $0.80, and we could probably sell them for the same $2.75.

Other food items that work well for us. "Mini Burgers".
In the south we have Krystals. In the North you guys have White Castles. At the drive-in, well sell them by the bag full, usually 12 at a time.

We just bought a Pizza Oven... so we'll see how that works out for us in about 6 weeks.

Yes, we are cooking them up fresh off the grill.

Actually we sell three different sizes of burgers at our theatre.

The 18/1 "Mini-Burger" - we sell for 50 cents each.

The 1/4 lb. Hamburger and Cheeseburger - we sell for $2.25 / $2.75
The 1/3 lb. "Premium Burger" - we get $3.50 for it. It is GOOD!!!

The Biggest sellers at the Grand View Drive-in are Pizza, Wings, Fingers, Frys, Pizza Logs , Shrimp Rolls, Giant Pretzels , Nacho's , Corn, Pop etc...
