TOPIC: Non Carbonated Beverage Available In A BIB

Non Carbonated Beverage Available In A BIB 10 Jul 2003 12:06 #26330

So...

Whats A Non Carbonated Beverage Available In A BIB, Made By Pepsi?

THX!

P.s. I have already come up with Brisk Iced Tea and Brisk Lemonade, But I want to come up with something different.

Also, I met the president of McDonald's Corporation today, as he visited my restaurant. He was very impressed with me and kept calling me by my name! It was great!

Well, TTYL!

FruitWorks is non-carbonated fruit punch. MickyDs uses CocaCola products, very few theatres in our area serve CocaCola items.

Thank-you very much!

It honestly seems to me that Pepsi is starting to dominate much more lately. Basically, all the theatres are serving Pepsi, all the schools sell Pepsi, Seven eleven has 2 Pepsi fridges, while Coke has one, etc.

Considering how poor Cokes service has become, it wouldn't surprise me if they went bust some day not too far away.

Mike, then you and I will just have to sell Moxie in it' place.

Poor service from Coke is exactly why we switched over to Pepsi products. Mountain Dew, Code Red, Dr Pepper, and Pepsi are HOT items. What the heck does Coke have to offer????

I can't get Dr. Pepper from Pepsi anymore. It is the most requested drink I do not carry. Wild Cherry Pepsi is pretty bad. I switched to Pepsi nearly five years ago because of Pepsi's willingness to provide me with a new machine and better pricing and I am happy except for the Dr. Pepper deal. I prefer to drink classic Coca Cola though. Pepsi's non-carbonated Pink Lemonade is pretty good.

Thanks for all the replies!

BTW, Guess What! I told you about "Shall We Dance" being filmed here in Winnipeg, with Richard Gere, JLo and Susan Sarandon... Well, I served Susan Sarandon last night at the concession stand. She came to see "Spellbound", and ordered a regular (85oz.) popcorn and regular (22oz.) 7up (half water/half 7up), and an Aquafina. The 7up thing was for her husband. I couldn't believe she just showed up in a windbreaker and ball cap, at our theatre in downtown Winnipeg. It was thrilling.

Well, ttyl.

That's cool, Andrew. I hope everyone was respectful and didn't make a big deal of her being there. A couple months ago someone who looked just like Jim Carrey came here on the last night of Anger Management. I didn't see them come in. He and his friend stayed until all the credits were over. I didn't even know anyone was left in the auditorium. They stayed and talked with me for about 20 minutes, but I didn't inquire about his identity. I'll never know if it was him or not.

I agree with Burney about respectful and quiet treatment of celebrities. We've had only one local TV weatherman that we know of but he obviously didn't want to be noticed so we didn't make a big deal. Some customers asked us and we said that we weren't sure and that if it was him he didn't want any attention.
I've got to finally mention that our new theater has allowed us to have a third party beverage distributor. We now serve both Coke and Pepsi at our concesson counter which surprises most people. I am still waiting for someone to notice us and complain to someone who will shut us down. In the interests of equal time we have new menu boards from both companies - Pepsi and Coke. We serve Coke, Diet Coke and Cherry Coke along with Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Mug Rootbeer, Dr Pepper, Orange Slice, Mountain Dew, Sierra Mist, Pink Lemonade and Lipton Raspberry iced tea. No problems obtaining Dr Pepper although the boxes keep getting smaller and I have now noticed that the price per oz for some of the smaller boxes is more than the price for the larger boxes. It is either a plot to increase prices or we now have to pay a premium to get certain flavors.

To answer the original question, I can't say enough about the Fruit Works Fruit Punch in a BIB. Good taste and provides a nice alternative to the carbonated stuff.

On the subject of celebrities coming in to the theater, we get quite a few of the local TV personalities in my theater. We just nod, say "Hi" and don't fawn over them. They seem to appreciate it.

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is a BIB? I've looked in the FAQs but could not find any mention. Is this 'Beverage-In-(a)-Box'? or 'Break-In-Box'?
My experience is not in concessions, but in history, architecture and technologies of it, so maybe a long suffering soul out there will help a novice at the 'food game.'
