A recent article in InFocus Magazine has announced that popcorn will be coined the official snack food of Illinos. After a second and third grade teacher had her students poll more than 300 people they found that of all snack foods, popcorn was number one. That poll was sent to the state senator and a bill was established to make popcorn the state snack. The bill passed 56-0. So it looks like popcorn has found another place in history.
