We sell a small can of Pringles for $1.00 to meet the needs of some customers. We walk over to the dollar store in the same plaza and buy them for .50 cents. They don't seem to cut into our popcorn sales at all. They are simply another alternative. We also sell Cheezits and Oreos or whatever snack mixes we can buy from Sams too. After having completed our annual inventory I am happy to observe that our cost of goods sold dropped 2% this year which makes me happy. More profit!

I would think the noise of the bags and the crunch of the chips would be a distraction.

gdarvin OFFLINE Junior Boarder Posts: 25 Karma: 0	I sold chips years ago but found that it was taking away from my popcorn sales. I wound up eliminating the chips and added flavored popcorn (cheese, chocolate etc.) at a premium price. Cotten candy also worked well for me and very profitible.
