I read an article out of Jasper, MO. over the weekend about workers in a microwave popcorn plant who are suffering from a rare lung disease that they contracted from breathing in the vapors from the artificial butter flavor they use on their popcorn. Some of the workers actually needed lung transplants. Yikes, that's really scary.
Of course the company wasn't named but it led me to wonder how safe are they those toppings that they use on theater popcorn. I consume a lot of that stuff and it got me thinking. Do any of you know the lowdown?
