This a true story and a reason why I have a problem with popcorn bags.
I went to a showing of "Curse of the Jade Scorpion" a few nights ago and was sitting in the balcony,first row center. I got the my usual, Medium Buttered Popcorn and a can of DR. Pepper. The movie was great, so was the treats.
After the movie I got up and picked up my empty folded popcorn bag and empty soda can with one hand and was in the proccess of putting on my jacket, when the soda can was launched into the air and went flying down to the seats below. The grease from the butter, or whatever it is they use, had seeped through the bag and the can slid off the bag and was hurled forth.
Nobody was hit by the projectile but it was kind of imbarrassing. Lesson learned? Don't carry both articles in the same hand.
