Are any of you fellow theatre owners paying film rental electronically?
If so, how?

I know I can go through Western Union on-line, but it is very expensive.
I'd like to be able to use the E-bill Pay my bank has, but it seems to only be able to work for electronic payments to big corps like utilities that are already set up in their system.

E-Bill pay at our bank works for anyone. The bank just ends up writing a check to the smaller people.

My understanding of the options is that the electronic wire transfer is the only instant way to get your money to them. Don't know about E-checks. ACH? Don't the studios initiate that? I'm a bit too old-school to let someone tap my checking account before I see the bills.

Hi, Tony;

I have an account who just started using ACH, and he seems to be very happy with it. Uses it fairly often. Makes me happy too, as it means fewer checks to keep track of.

Too bad the studios can't be like: the phone co., the trash co., all of our credit card cos., mortgage co. basically everyone we pay and have a way to log on to a website and pay on our accounts online.

Do you guys know how long it takes for the payment to make it to the distributor when using the bank's E-bill?

Yes, tell us how it is working. Are you being credited properly, for the right picture & theatre? Do you fax your B.O. reports in, email, or mail them?

I recently went through a couple of major, credit-affecting horror stories with my e-banking; their errors, not mine. Pretty scary stuff, but oh how simple and convenient.
