I am sure this has been asked before, but I searched all the posts and couldn'd find it.

I am thinking of joining a local trade club,(where everyone trades services they are in need of).
Can anyone tell me the rules as to number of passes allowed by the distributors, these would be mostly the foreign and independent pictures.

Thanks again for everyones help in the past, and hope this wasn't to much of a dumb question.

It used to be right around 2% of your paid numbers. If you had 100 people in the auditorium, 2 of them could be on passes. Lately however, the major studios have restricted that even further, mainly during the first couple of weeks.

Can't say about indie films though.
