Hello. I enjoy reading these boards and finally am making my first post. I am looking into opening my own (or renovating an existing) theater within the next 3 years. I am doing quite a bit of research and one thing that I have found that I like is looking at websites of theaters. I especially enjoy pictures of the inside and outside. I would love to see links to other owner's theaters. Who knows I (and others) may make a trip to catch a flick?

www.cinematour.com is a good place to explore. Many of their listings include web site links.

Well Todd, if you were to look through these many hundreds of posts, you would probably find the web address for most of those who post here. But that would take a lot of time, so I think you have suggested a wonderful idea that is long overdue.

It would indeed be useful to have one place where everyones website address is available. Hopefully everyone will add theres. Maybe this should be restarted as a separate post or even a separate topic or room. I'll let that up to others.

Anyway, here's mine: www.roxytheaternorthampton.com

Also, check out the Theatre Historical Society website, as they have links to many theatre websites as well. You'll find them at: www.historictheatres.org

We announce our project officially on April 1 and I wanted to share this with members here and thank everyone for their input to some of my posts. I hope to use every bit of my 20 years in the biz to showcase this place.

The THEATRE HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF AMERICA has a web site with some 400 links to web sites of theatres, past and present: www.HistoricTheatres.org and click on THEATRE LINKS. It is a long list by region, so be patient for the download which is coming from the University of Hawaii's server.

There are also thousands of theatres and many with web sites listed at these sites: www.CinemaTreasures.org www.CinemaTour.com

Best Wishes, Jim Rankin
