TOPIC: I Wish To Build A Web Site

I Wish To Build A Web Site 02 Dec 2004 12:29 #24697

I'm thinking about building a web site for my theatre and was wondering what some of you spent for the endeavor. Any extra tips would also be helpful. Thanks

I do my own and it looks way harder then it is. If you can make a document in Word then you can make one in Frontpage and then it's really easy to make it into a website. Mine is nothing special and I've seen many that are much more elaborate but if you're doing a small page consider doing it yourself.

Wow, nice site Mike!

That's the difference, I guess. My plain old do-it-yourself job or Mike's hot rod.

Those are both nice websites, however I actually like the Elkader site better. Why? Because the information is nice and big. Large easily readable lettering. All the info that I want is there and can be seen without much searching other then scrolling down, which is no bother to me.

Also, I don't understand why so many theatre sites don't show you pictures of what their theatre looks like, both inside and out. That's the first thing I look for. When there are no pictures I assume that they may not want me to see what it looks like, afraid that I might not come.

Nice site Mike. Is that something you did on your own, or did you farm it out?

I really didn't want this to be a "Who Has The Better Web Site." I just wanted some kind of price range so I would have a better idea as to what I could expect for the green I pay out.

a 6-page website should run you around $1,000
