TOPIC: Best POS system for the business

Best POS system for the business 07 Sep 2004 14:55 #24577

Out of everyone on here -what is the best POS system you have used in a movie theatre?

I am still a big fan of the Pacer Tims 2000 program.

I think I have used 15 different systems in my career. Currently I am using Radiant at the Theatre I am currently managing.

We use Sensible Cinema Software. Generates nice reports! One of our other locations uses Pacer and hates it. Dunno, I've never used any thing but SensibleCinema.

Is anyone using Work Systems software? (www.worksoftwaresystems.com/theatre-POS-software.html)

The system looks very comprehensive and appears to automate many tedious processes.

I use RTS. It's a very good, scalable system. The only issue you might have is that it is built around a "pay as you go" model. It requires an annual license to operate it. However, the license includes frequent updates and VERY good phone-based service.
