Cinema cafes have gotten a pretty *bad* reputation around these parts; cruddy projection and sound quality, bad food, and having to sit with your back to the screen or your food (due to using regular round tables) are just some of the problems they've had. As a result, most of the cinema cafes around here have closed down.
My question is, do people think a cinema cafe/cinema grill could be done right? There's several cinema draft houses scattered around the country, does anybody know if they work/turn a profit?
What I want to do is build a first-run, first-rate cinema grill with good seating (nobody with their back to the picture) and good sound. I'm thinking 6 screens... Are there any resources around for this kind of hybrid bastard child of restaurants and theaters?
