Bulbs - we all need them, but where do you recommend getting them?
I am very price conscious and would be interested in a good deal on my annual bulb purchase.I checked out xenonbulbs.com listed in the directory here and wondered if anyone has used them and can tell me whether they had a good experience. I refuse to use my previous company which should be skewered alive for total incompetence.

Are you buying from a cinema equipment company from which you usually buy booth supplies? Any recommendations?

I would appreciate any responses.
(For the record - I need an Osram XBO1600 W/CA OFR).

I can only assume that you have all switched to DLP (Digital Light Projection) and no longer need bulbs or that no one has a good relationship with their cinema supply company and is praying that they never need to order another bulb. I sure wish!

First of all you will need Xenon lamps with a DLP machine as well. In fact they will need to brighter than the ones you use on the same screen with film.

One buys Xenon lamps from their cinema supplier. My cinema supplier is American Cinema Equipment out of Portland OR. Their website is http://www.cinequip.com/ . They even post their prices on the site. Another big cinema supplier is CPI their website is http://www.cinprod.com/ but it isn't as informative as ACE's, you will have to call them. Fequently Box Office Magazine or Film Journal will publish a list of all of the cinema suppliers in the country and the world. Try http://filmjournal.com/applications/guides/ for all of the addresses for all of the dealers in the country.
