We don't have a "company car" or even paid health insurance from our theatre. WE do get to deduct Sho-West and East as biz expenses but I'm wondering what other ideas that people use? Do you have the theatre own the car? The problem with the health insurance is you'd have to offer it to everyone and we cannot afford that.

The company car simply didn't work in the cash flow. I certainly would like it as I lost a car last year and Ky racks up the miles on his.

Health insurance, ShoWest and other theatre related travel are written in to our budget. We offer health insurance to our two full-time pricipal partners. Since everybody else is part-time and usualy a student we don't offer them health insurance.

This post brings up an interesting question. What do the chain theaters offer there employees as benifits that the independents can't or don't? I'm thinking that the chains like "Hoyts" have some kind of insurance for there fulltime help. But they must have other options also.

Well on the one hand you get all those benifits but no family life. That hardly seems like a fair trade.
