We have given away a lot of bigscreenbiz t shirts to enthusiastic posters in the forums. Paul @ Avalon recently reciprocated with his really cool white on black Avalon Cinema of Corvallis, Oregon. I'm wearing it today and really like the shirt.

It made me think that a t shirt exchange would be a fun thing and a good way to get cool t's from our friends around the world.

Let me be the first on the block:

Two offers!!!!!!!!
www.bigscreenbiz.com will trade a very classt black t shirt with our way cool logo with anyone who wants to provide us with their theatre or company t-shirt in exchange. Send us the shirt (XL for me!) to 93 Main Street, Belfast , Maine 04915

AND!!!!! www.colonialtheatre.com which is the site of the venerable Colonial Theatre which opened on the same day the Titanic (the ship not the movie!) set sail in 1912. Every year we issue a cool t with all of the movies we have shown in the last year on the back and a new design which this year has an MGM rip off logo with the lion replaced by a bear because of www.belfastbearfest.com. Send us a t, Tell us your size and we'll send you our T.

WOW! I got me a Bigscreenbiz.com t-shirt and an Avalon t-shirt and now (much to the relief of Sonoma County) I don't have to run around naked any more.

Yes Large......... and all us hunka, hunka, burning loves know the comfort of an xxl, and xl or whatever yardage it takes to cover... the casual version of a mu-mu for guys! Anyway Senior Large: would you like to exchange another of yours for a Colonial T? A guy who works with us here was kind of acting petulant and a wee bit sulky as I strutted about in my finest T's! And way: it's not a retirement package but... want to trade? Mike

Hi Avalon!

I've visited Corvallis twice, in 1993 and 1994. My wife's grandmother lived at Benton Tower senior housing. We stayed at a great B&B near the University and park and library. Really enjoyed the small town atmosphere and beautiful Oregon country between you and the coast. Never got to the Avalon theatre, however.

Did I hear that the new joint venture between Kodak and Hewlett Packard will be headquartered in Corvallis?

I have received my t's from Avalon in Corvallis and The Roxy in Northampton, Pa and they are outstanding! I want more!!! Who wants to trade!!!!!

Theatres......Would you be interested in selling your shirts if I set up a "buy cool t-shirts" page/ link that would show pictures of these cool shirts. I'd set it up so they'd buy them directly from the theatre/and order in via e-mail or mail. I think film and theatre lovers would want to order them. What do you think?

I like your plan, Mike. Listing T-Shirts is a grand idea (let's talk percentage, here). T-shirts with gift certificates are a great holiday promotion for me. I wonder why more theaters don't do it. I SELL about 60-70 T-shirts a year. Give away about 1/2 that. So, for me, they more than pay for themselves. Then again, I make sure the shirts are high quaity and the graphic wakes you up.

I'll work on it. The amazing thisg is to see people walking around town with your T on and they paid you to do it! I guess this is what NIKE, Tommy Hillfigger, Nautica, Gap, and Ab/Fitch get us to do.

Mike,

I think it's a great idea...a bigscreenbiz T-Shirt store. People love T-shirts. We sell 300 or more per year. People buy them as gifts from the old hometown and send them to friends and relatives all over the country. They have gone to England, Germany, France and Japan as well. I have had patrons tell me that they have seen people wearing them when they were on vacation in such places as Florida, California...everywhere it seems! They say it's a great conversation starter when you ask people where did you get that?

I'm all for it...let's do it!
