A family of "cineasts" I know celebrates their viewing of Oscar ceremony by decorating house with clippings on all nominated films, dressing up, and feasting on dishes inspired by the best picture contendors. Sounds like fun.(this year's menu is easy; Chinese food, chocolates, spring water, Olives and Coke(a-cola). Anyone do any promos at their theatres? Is it just for fun/to create action, or does it help with tik sales? (As a variation on the family above maybe we'll do foods from the top grossers...then we could "feast on who pudding and rare who roast beast"!!)

A local film critic in Rochester NY sponsors a Oscar party at a local multiplex. Video projection of the telecast on one of the screens, and "food stations" in the lobby, each dedicated to the "theme" of one of the contenders. Guess what they are serving for "Chocolat"? Hope "Hannibal" isn't in the running next year.
