I was at Hollywood Theater's today Star 12 - Beaumont, TX and I know tist Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D was in Dolby digital instead of PCM sound. It's was on one of those cool Sony 4k projectors. Every other one is in PCM I belive there because I know tist the sound was not as clear as it usually is. Anyway why would some one go though the trouble of down grading to Dolby digital instead of just playing it PCM our cinemark here in Lakecharles La. is doing the same thing so I quit going there.

With digital cinema sound is not compressed so there really is nothing to call it other than digital sound. I'm guessing if it is usually clear then the sound mix was bad. With digital cinema it really is a case of garbage in garbage out.
