I am playing an independent movie here in a couple of weeks. We're playing it on a Blu-Ray through our digital projector. No problem with that as Blu-Rays look awesome through the digital projector and the light is just as strong as with a "film". The producer is sending me the trailer on a DVD. DVDs look less good but still fine. The problem (at least I think it'll be a problem) comes in with building a playlist with the DVD copy of the trailer. I'm not sure if the server will recognize the file as a trailer or if it'll recognize it at all. It hasn't arrived yet so I don't have any specs on the file yet but if it's just something like a quicktime file then I don't think it'll work. I could still play it through the DVD player but that will be awfully clunky. Has anybody had any experience with this?
