Recently picked up four Eprad Swords for parts for a Eprad Mutt that I still use. Attached to the Swords were Eprad soundheads, that simply went with the deal. Never thought much about the soundheads, until I noticed they had been converted to Jax Lights and stereo solar cells. Tried a little research online but found little so far. If anyone has experience with Eprad soundheads could you tell me what projector heads you have seen run with these units. All I know about them is, they have very early serial numbers. Thank You for your time!

I have never used Eprads. That company was best known for their drive-in speakers. The soundheads should work with any projector (that does not have built-in soundheads) as all companies made their soundheads adaptable for any projector.

I bet your right, I just need to find the adapter plate , which could be interesting. Thank you for your reply! Cuemarks

Mostlikely the urothane of the sound drum will have hardend and cracked
They were not a robust soundhead by any stretch but extremely clever in using a tacky rubber roller for the sounddum (like a PTR roller) and a odd damper that moved up and down as well as rocked in out called a whiffle tree
Very low wow and flutter when new
parts will be almost nill for them

Thank you for your time. The damper system looks very unique as you stated.
If I can find out how to mount a projector head, I plan to mount the unit on my test pedastal and check it out. I doubt I would ever use it, but it should be fun to tinker with it. I think I have some old Eprad mono amps I could rig to the soundheads. Thank You again.
