Where would you recommend to get good used booth equipment? I am looking at re-opening a closed theatre. I am looking for two complete booth set-ups. Pretty much everything except the screens. Good, Used and reliable are a plus.

Any theater equipment dealer would have plenty of used equipment for sale. I like American Cinema Equipment (www.cinequip.com) in Portland, Oregon with branch offices in other cities.

Used equpiment shows up in various places (Ebay, Boxoffice Mag, local swap meets) now and then. If you have plenty of time, and the experience to do it yourself, you can eventually assemble a fairly decent package.

If you DON'T have the time, inclination or experience, good service & supply companies are spread out across the country. Many of them buy and sell used equipment, and can offer whatever advice and installation help you might need.

In this case I always think: where are you? Depending on location it is easier to ship and set up if you need tech assist.

There perhaps a dozen that you should contact. Do a search here in the directory for projection equipment/ call and talk.
