I took two of my key employees this past year to Showeast. The luck that these two women had was unbelievable to say the least. Started with winning big Spongebob things, the large gift basket at PMG, a beautiful Kodak digital camera. They thought they did pretty well as I dragged them through the trade show. We visited the DTS display room and as they were filling out the slips for the door prize, I mentioned to them both that anything won in there was going straight to the projection booth.
Late November one of the girls was notified that we won either a DTS XD10P or a XD10. Our choice. The remaining processors in our booth are not compatible with a DTS player of any kind so we chose the XD10P and now we will upgrade with a new DTS player as well. What luck !! Anyone else ever have such good fortune at trade shows? I might add that I won absolutly nothing....as usual.

One of our registrations from the theatre companies won the DTS player a few years back. Another year a different employee won the DTS jean jacket which is collecting dust in my closet.

I seldom go to the conventions, but one year when I did go to ShowEast, I was at one of the luncheons where prizes were awarded.

When the MC said: The 3rd prize winner is... I said to the others at my table in jest, I won't get that or 2nd because I never settle for less then 1st place. When he announced the 1st place winner it was.... you guessed it, ME. Boy, was I red faced. A 14 inch color TV. It is in my office at the theatre to this day.

That was however, the only time I ever won anything at a NATO convention.

I won the giant Nestles Crunch bar a couple years ago. Does that count? It is still in my refrigerator. Think I need to throw it out.

Put that huge Crunch bar on display in your candy counter. If it's been kept cold and dry, it may still be fine.
