The correct aspect ratio for "Gone With the Wind" is 1.37:1.
If the image on the print is NOT squeezed, the projectable image area should be 0.825 x 0.602 inches (SMPTE 195).
If you have one of the anamorphic prints made a few years ago, the projectable image area is 0.473 x 0.690 inches. With a 2X anamorphic lens, this produces the original 1.37:1 aspect ratio. Cutting a new aperture plate (or using masking on the port glass) will prevent any light/scratches from showing on the black areas on each side.
