Yes, Cinema Film Systems (CFS) is out of business. They pulled out of ShowEast at the last minute last year, and there was a bankruptcy auction in December. Several chains and dealers bought up most of the equipment and spare parts.
I also received a note from Richard Niccum, the projection engineer who left the now bankrupt CFS to form his own
company, Lighting Images Technology (LIT). His note says that since CFS' closure, LIT is now offering all CFS
compatible parts and supplies. They are also offering equipment, parts, and used/reconditioned theatre equipment.
