I noticed that Warner Bros. moved A SOUND OF THUNDER back to next year. My guess is that they feel it will do better in that time slot. But it set me to wondering what other reasons there could be for bumping a movie back. At any rate it kind of disapointed me.

Sound of Thunder has been sitting on the shelf for nearly a couple of years now. That usually means either (i) it is a turkey or (ii) it is unusual and they don't know how to market it or (iii) all of the above.

Given the lousy September I am guessing they at least wanted a time period when people were once again going to the movies.

In fact, this movie was just finished on September 2004.

I started screening "Finding Neverland", back in May 2003. The original release date was to be last January 2004. It just got released November 2004 from Miramax. I handle Post-Production Projection, here in New York for some of the major studios.

According to the latest releasing schedule that I have received from WB, they have now dropped "Sound of Thunder" from their releasing schedule for 2005.

I would not be surprised to see this go straight to video.

I just noticed on Rentrak it has just been moved to an unsettled 2005 playdate
