Well, I guess he can pull it off and may even have a hit movie with people new to the bumbling inspector. But I, for one, feel that no one can come close to the great job that Peter Sellers did with the character.

UA really doesn't exist any longer as a producer or distributor, but MGM probably has the rights to use any of UA's properties, so I suppose the cartoon would be possible... So many of the of the once-great are gone, MGM is just a shadow of what it once was...
