40 calls to our voicemail today. On a normal Summer Friday, it would be several hundred.

I think this is as much a matter of tradition and training as anything a business normally does. Any business will have its normal business week... open Saturday, Closed Sunday, open 8-5, short days on Christmas Eve, open late on Christmas Day, drive-ins open all week or just weekends... whatever.

For 20 years, we've been closed on the 4th, which has allowed us to spend the day with our friends and family. I'm as comfortable with my choice as I expect those of you who stay open on the 4th are with yours. Good for you. Hope you had a great day!

Lots of tourists in town for summer vacation and nothing to do except the movies and bowl. I heard the bowling alley did well also. But, I am still disappointed we weren't able to have our annual fireworks. It is the place to be.
