The LED indicator is usually found on E-Cinema machines - the LCD and single chip projectors that run screen ads. I can tell you that the filter is WAY too clogged by the time the LED lights.
D-cinema equip. assumes professional maintenance and has fewer "dummy" lights. Filter cleaning will vary depending on how dusty your environment is, and more importantly, how close the proejctor is to the popcorn machine.
