If anyone knows anyone that would like to live in northern Wisconsin, I am planning on downsizing my 5 single theatre operation---each has supported themselves along with paying employees. It could be a great deal for someone serious.

Has anyone heard more about what is happening with the remaining Hoyts (Northeast Cinemas)?

Hoyts has a separate deal with a few of their Maine theatres and those went back into private ownership. I hear they are renovating. There's some speculation that Flagship (mini chain) has or is buying those last few.

In Vermont, most original owners (who held mortgages or paper) are taking the sites back over.

At least 2 single-screen former movie palaces now closed, and 2 small multiplexes in the burbs now closed, all in the Milwaukee area. I have no financial/legal interests in them, so contact me for referrals if serious.
