Even with a mono system he is going to have to make the connection at the soundhead end too. What is in there now? If the house has been dark for a while (as seems the case) I would bet there is an exciter lamp and solar cell which wouls not be compatible with todays soundtracks. At the least they will have to upgrade to a reverse scan L.E.D. reader assembly. Which will need to be installed, and aligned. I would under no circumstances go the "Jax Lite" route. depending on the model if you went (against better advice) with a traditional mic mixer you would need to wire one end of the cable to the reader in the proper way.
