I will be there again, marching in lock-step with the studios, enjoying my corporately-paid perk/home office crew vacation.

I will be attending solo, flying in late Sat night and out early Friday. I have the full ride. Who else will be there? What about an off site get together? New York/NY roller coaster?

I just finished registering (also full package) and booking flight/hotel/etc and will be flying solo as well. I had a hard time finding decently priced hotels on the strip still available (Paris and Bally's have long been booked up). I'll be arriving Sun night and leaving Fri morning. Let's definitely set up an off-site get-together. The schedule of events isn't published on their website yet though, so I'm not sure how we can determine a day/time. Any clues/ideas?

I'll be fully registered also. Would be nice to meet some of you guys. I've known Mike for many years, he's a hoot.

I'm in on Sun, out on Friday. Been
going for years- its a great tool,
especially when you're opening a theatre.

This year, I'm helping a group launch a new
e-cinema movie network for arthouse/
indie/specialty movies. I've been testing it
at my cinema for over a year and it works great. You can use it for your in-house screen ads, as well.

They have an invite-only suite set up
at Ballys which I'd like to use for a
Big Screen Biz meet'n'greet. I'll have
to talk with Mike about it.
Free bar, of course.

I used priceline.com and got the 4* Golden Nugget downtown for 72.00 a night. But I do love my car and my downtown scene.

By the way: in case you do not know it: free valet parking is the best deal in Vegas. Pull up to the front door o0f every casino hotel , hand them your keys, and a max 10 minute wait to pick up when you are ready and THEN you give a 3.00 tip. Saves walking miles from the "free" lots. Oh boy! I saved 3 dollars!

Unfortunately, I am too ill to travel to Las Vegas for ShoWest. I will be on screen at the Tuesday morning breakfast, in a filmed acceptance of the Inter-Society Ken Mason Award:

John-

I was looking forward to seeing you accept this award in person. We are all cheering for your well earned industry recognition as well as the complete recovery from your fight against cancer. Hang tough.
