I canceled in November and find this site and Online sites more useful!
Box office was never solely for Indy theaters but use to once in a while focus on them and have stories. Now there is nothing but repetitive stories on Digital for the focused Multiplexes!

I agree with most of you... the new release chart is COMPLETELY worthless. I do get rather tired about reading about the "Giants of Exhibition", European and Asian Exhibtion, and what I call the "suck up" ads that always preceed or follow the major awards shows and trade shows.

I'm not a "Giant of Exhibition" and don't want to be. I'm an owner of an independant twin screen drive-in whose been all but forgotten from the eyes of Boxoffice. For years they ran an August issue on the state of the drive-in industry... and they dropped that two years ago.

I _was_ a long time subscriber and can remember all the drive-ins and independent theater profiles in each issue. Surely they could profile one indoor and one outdoor theater in EVERY issue.

Seems like they ought to just change the magazine name now to simply, "Corporate Suck-Up".

I use the release chart on this site more now as a result of the lack of a good chart in Boxoffice magazine.
