When the theatre chains have walked away from leases or closed them down there's a lot of evidence that they'll be reopened by new operators. Have you seen any that are actually closed and emptied of equipment? If they've just gone "dark" it only means they could fire up again under new management. Which theatres are actyually closed and dismantled?

There are companies that do in fact remove some items. Matter of fact i was just discussing this someone today. Sometimes they are nice when they close down and remove items, and somtimes they go onto Santa's "naughty" list. Remove sound equipment by cutting through the screens. It all depends on the circuit.
