I don't know about Mask. I saw trailers on line for it and it's nothing like the first picture. To me it appeared to be a sequel to sell tickets.

Winn Dixie might do slightly better because it has appeal; cute little doggie in a family type picture.

Neither looks very good ... Son Of The Mask will probably do *slightly* better.

I think son of the mask looks just awful. Winn-Dixie looks to be OK for me and I think we'll get it here.

We are going to do both but are much more positive about Winn-Dixie. I've been looking forward to it since last August when it was originally scheduled. I suspect that the move from August to February will be very helpful as we need a family/kid movie now and August was confusing with 2 dog movies (Not that Benji made any impact then). While Pooh's Heffalump Movie is very important to us it is still a short film for the very young.

Mask will either be a huge disaster or will do just OK without Jim Carrey. Everyone who looks at the poster notices that Jim Carrey is not in it. The question is will they come anyway?

We will be showing both movies at our 4-screen. I'm not expecting a super big hit out of either, but we're hoping that both will do decently, especially since we'll be getting rid of a couple of movies that have gone down in sales.

We've had the Son of the Mask poster in our lobby for several weeks now. Several people have pointed out the poster and some of them have noticed that there is no Jim Carrey. I don't know weither people will still come for it or not. I remember the Dumb and Dumberer movie that come out a couple of years ago and that did fairly decently without having the original stars in that film.

I tend to stay away from New Line after being treated with such disrespect by their Eastern VP of sales Jonathan Biel.

The movie "Son of the Mask" is like watching a Looney Tunes / Tex Avery cartoon, meeting the story of the Mask.

amusing 2 1/2 stars.

"Winn-Dixie" is a cute little story about a girl and a dog. Better movie

3 1/3 stars

Winn Dixie looks like another Racing Stripes! This is a bad time of the year for movies. But here in NY anything will do good this week cause the schools are closed for winter recess and it is cold out.
The bijou's will be packed. Mask was playing on 2 screens at the theater I was at and it was a sellout all evening. Not saying that it was good but has family appeal. No legs but a good first and second week.

Well, we showed both movies this weekend and neither one made a real big impact. Dixie was the second highest grossing one for us, behind Hitch. Mask was the lowest movie for us for the weekend (no customers for Mask all day Sunday) and it was even beat out by Are We There Yet. I would suggest extereme caution for anyone thinking about getting either of these movies.

Son Of The Mask was our #5 Gross.

Because Of Winn-Dixie was our #8 Gross.

Son Of The Mask did 2.5 times what Winn-Dixie did.

Top 4 were Constantine, Hitch, Are We There Yet, Boogeyman.
