I have it booked for christmas week and the terms are still high. Do you think it'll be worth it? Six weeks old......

I'd bet it will do better for you then, than if you had it now... That's when it SHOULD have been released: it's a Christmas picture, and there's just too many animated competitors available right now...

I totally agree. Polar Express should give you a great Christmas week. I really wish they would have waited to release it until then. It would have done so much better, I think. Our grosses on it would be pretty sad if it weren't for all the area schools bringing their students during the day. We have had at least one school per day since it opened and have every school day booked until Dec. 2 with sometimes both morning and afternoon.

Thanks. I needed the reassurance. I think it'll do pretty well, too. I wonder if WB will make any money out of this pic, though. I hear the production costs were astronomical.

It has done fine/ it could have done better/ it was too early and in the midst of Increds and Spongebobette it was a bad choice of dates. With a 2 screen you just want to move on when they are coming fast and furious.

We're coming off it at our 8-screen on 11/23.

UPDATE - We're holding Polar over for one matinee show daily (12:05pm) w/ Seed Of Chucky for next week.

We are also coming off Polar Express at our twin theatre on 11/23. Our booker had a Fri. Sat. Sun. holdover figure with Warner Bros. It didn't make it so its gone. Hoping Christmas with the Kranks performs better.

Leeler:

Could you tell me what terms you have to pay for Polar Express? We are getting it at our single screen and playing it Dec 3-5 and Dec 10-12 and our terms are very reasonable. I'm just curious what they asked you to pay. Thanks.
