The huge Star-lite Drive-in Theater and Swap Meet (Tacoma, Wash.) will be auctioned to the highest bidder on May 18, 2004 in Tacoma, Washington. The theater was siezed by the government for money laundering and drug sales. The theater is huge and has an 800 car capacity on 13 acres. Although the theater is a single screen the back of the lot has room to plop in a couple more screens. There is a new seperate indoor swap meet building included. This swap meet does very well indeed and is very busy during the summer with 7 day a week swap meets!

The last movie run there was 5 years ago, but I think the projection equipment has been removed. The field is mostly asphalt and there is a full kitchen in the snack bar and nice roomy indoor seating with lots of room for video games. The seperate swap meet building has two cafes in it.
