Is there any theatre right now showing movies on DVD that you've been to? No one in my area is but I once did a presentation for EMI with DVD and it looked pretty good. Is there benefits to it, or set backs?

JamCo,

Well, DVDs would sure make things easier. If only it weren't for those pesky licensing rights. I have the capability to show them now but can't legally because I don't have (and cannot get, presumably) alicense to show them for the public. So, all I really get is to be able to boast to my friends about the size of my screen. Actually, the quality is ok, but is not as sharp as it is when showing 35mm film. Also, the audio isn't as good. So, in a nutshell, I think it's a good idea but it needs legal and technical issues resolved before it can be done for the mainstream.
