does anyone know who the theatrical distributor is or was for the NASA documentary For All Mankind? It recieve a limited theatrical release after premiering on laser disc in 89. I'd like to revive it, but don't know who has the rights and IMDB is no help whatsoever. Thanks.

I'd bet money it was from a short-lived indie distrib that is no longer around. I played it in several locations when it came out, but haven't heard anything about it since.

Wish I had better news.

I love questions like this.

I found that the film is part of the Criterion Collection on DVD and that Apollo Associates/FAM Productions, Inc. was the original distributor.

One of the film's producers, Betsy Breier, currently works for the Center for Reform of School Systems and lists "For All Mankind" in her bio. Perhaps she could lead you in the right direction.
