What are the latest shipping costs incurred per film for each of you? I did a search of past forums but the latest posts are at least a year old. Also, how often do they try to raise prices? Thanks a million.

Technicolor (Airborne) is $18.11 one way.
ETS for me is much more: $28 plus $9.97 one way.

I think Technicolor is the same for everyone?? 18.11 each way per print

ETS seems to vary by area--In my situation I am an average of 4 1/2 hours from the depot and my rate is $74 per stop no matter how many prints are coming or going--I do watch how I book ETS handled prints to try and get the average per print cost down.

The local carrier for ETS in this area charges $50.00 regardless of the number of prints, but he won't stop to pick up finished prints if you aren't receiving a new one unless you really plead or the distributor gets on his back.

I deliver for 7 theatres in this area, and I charge $30.00 regardless of the number of prints, but all my clients are single screen.

As to when do they increase the price? Every time the price of oil sky rockets up.

ETS prints are handled by a local company here at $20 per visit regardless of # of prints handled. They will pick up/deliver only on Thursday night so that film coming off Thursday night won't be picked up until the following Thursday. We could also pickup our own film at the depot about 20 minutes away but this service is so reasonable that it is more convenient to take advantage of it and help keep the cost down for those theaters farther out.

Heaven forebid you have anything sent/received via Reel Easy:
$88 normal each way
$125 2nd day each way

Most of the classic films I run come via Reel Easy.
And I can't seem to convince WB and Paramount to even send normal. They keep sending 2nd day!

Are the charges for ETS deliveries from ETS or just from the local carrier? We're a college, so we book through Swank/Criterion and get charged by Criterion for ETS deliveries, but not Swank (which has always seemed suspicious to me).

Our local carrier bills a flat fee per month, which generally comes to $20-$40/film (depending on how many ETS prints we get).

ETS is a depot, not a carrier. They set up the film for whatever local carrier you use.I think they charge the carrier a fee, which the carrier passes on to you.

For awhile I was picking up my own prints at the ETS depot and it only cost me my fuel costs and my time.
I pay the $28 to a courier who transports the movie from the ETS depot to a larger town on the main freeway. $3 of that fee is for a fuel surcharge. The $9.97 is for another courier to bring the movie the rest of the way to my small town.

What do you get billed for ETS prints that don't come from the local depot (ie, shipped from another city to the local depot via Danzas and then delivered to you)? How about for next-day deliveries (like for replacement prints)? I'm not asking about what the local courier charges, just what ETS charges.
