With all the hipe that's being given to LOR:Return Of The King, I was just wondering what you thought about the other movies that were up against it. Are there any that could possibly give it a run for the money?

A run for its money, I don't think so. Are there movies I'd like to see besides LOR? Absolutely. I would like to be able to play them, too, but that is beyond my control at this time. I'll guess the better "alternate" movies will bring in about 1/8th what LOR does this weekend.
